ABOUT SEAN

As a young man I was active in sports.  I threw my body around recklessly and had little consideration for my own well-being.  Following a sports injury, I experienced numerous physical problems that I should not have been having.  After having operations on both shoulders, I immersed myself deeply into yoga.  Through yoga, I discovered a new sense of balance, awareness, and strength.

I have practiced many different styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Bikram, and Ashtanga.  I appreciate all styles, but have found that Ashtanga is the most effective for me. The combination of postures, breath, and movement is invigorating and electrifying.  My daily practice energizes me and leaves me moving with ease and fluidity throughout the day.

I completed my 200 hour teacher training in June, 2005.  I then moved to London, where I taught yoga in the borough of Greenwich.  Four months later, I relocated to Spain where I taught private and group classes at a studio for a year.  I returned to the United States in the beginning of 2007 and continued offering classes.  During the summer of 2007, I was blessed with the opportunity to teach yoga at Amansala, a small fitness resort on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.  I recently completed a 40 hour Ashtanga Primary Series teacher training with David Swenson in October, 2007.  David's teachings further fueled my passion for traditional Ashtanga yoga and I am delighted to be sharing what I have learned with my students.
